October is Pastor Appreciation Month!Here are the top ten things you can do for your Pastor...
1. Ask him if you can go along on a hospital or shut-in visit.
2. Discover your Spiritual Gifts, and actually DO something with them in your church.
3. Find out in advance what scripture he will be preaching from on Sunday. Read and meditate on it during the week.
4. Let him know if God is using his sermons to affect your life.
5. Find out what prayer needs he has. Or just pray for him and his wife.
6. Send him a card or letter of encouragement. Maybe slip in a Sportsman’s Warehouse gift card.
7. Let him hear you during the sermon.
8. Be sensitive to his schedule. Cut him some slack if he isn’t always as attentive as you think he should be. (There’s lots of sheep in the flock!)
9. Get along with your ”family”. Forgive whatever grievances you may have against a brother or sister.
10. Love God and Love people. In doing so you will fulfill the greatest commandment and delight our Pastor’s CEO.
