Christmas Unrated
In many ways Christmas has become a vanilla holiday dominated by gift giving and feel-good traditions. In the story of Simeon at the temple, we even see the foreshadowing of conflict between Jesus and his own mother. The child in the manger comes both to convict of unrighteousness and redeem us from sin.

2 Samuel 6:1-16 serves as an excellent reminder to us that we need to mind the gap. Uzzah's death was the consequence of failing to do so, and King David's worship is a serious effort in minding the gap.
