The Inconvenient Truth
The writer of Hebrews turns to the subject of rest and the Sabbath in chapter four, a topic that is addressed first in Exodus but remains important throughout Scripture.

Personal Responsibility for Spiritual Growth and Practice
Who is responsible for our spiritual development as individuals and families? Pastor Todd shows us in 2 Kings 17:24-41 that while churches and church leadership are here to assist us, we are primarily responsible for ourselves and for raising our own children spiritually.

What is our responsibility to Christ as his stewards? Pastor Todd helps answer that with the Parable of the Talents from Matthew 25.

Easter Weekend
We see in Job 19 that Job anticipated the vindication of life and victory over death in Christ's resurrection from the dead. Just as he looked forward to Christ's work, we too can look forward to our own passage through death into the new life that Jesus Christ offers us.

On Good Friday we are reminded of the extraordinary sacrifice that Jesus Christ made on our behalf in his suffering and death. It is a sobering reminder of our state and of the love of God for us.
March 21, 2008
In preparation for Easter and celebration of our Lord's Resurrection, Pastor Tim takes us to Psalm 118:22-29. Here the psalmist encourages us to anticipate the coming of the Deliverer and to rejoice in the deliverance he brings.

Access Database for Sermon Cataloging
Larry White, a member at Northside, has designed the following database operating in MS Access for cataloging sermons and has kindly made it available. There are two versions of the database, both in zip files. The first, Sermons_Access2002 should work in older versions of Microsoft Access (back to MS Access XP and up to MS Access 2007). The second, Sermons_Access2007 will work in MS Access 2007. Instructions in MS Word 2002 format are available here.
Only folks with Microsoft Access installed on their computers will be able to use these database copies. If you are running Microsoft XP as your operating system, it will need to be updated through service pack 2. If you don’t have Microsoft Access on your computer, a runtime version of the database will be available soon that will run without Microsoft Access.

Demystifying Holiness
This week Pastor Tim shares God's command to be holy, revealing that it isn't otherworldly, but something we must be in the normal course of life. We can be holy in a normal world when we recognize that holiness has a redemptive focus, utilizes relationships, and demands a respectful fear of God.

Keepin’ It Straight in 2008
Pastor Tim interrupts his series on the X-Life in order to assess our current state of ministry and challenge us for the year ahead. Essentially, we are to lock our eyes on Jesus, seek and love the truth, and live it out through friendship with the people around us.
