Tim Crownover, Senior Pastor
Tim came to Northside from Bonners Ferry, Idaho in July, 2002. A Northwest native, Tim was born in northern California and grew up in Grants Pass, Oregon. He married Teresa, his high school sweetheart, his sophomore year in college. She works in banking and serves various ways in community and church. They have two sons Tyler (married to Kristen), Travis (married to Jenni), and four grandchildren Lilyanah (deceased), Violet, Layla, and Cailynn. After a promising baseball career was ended by injury, Tim worked in land surveying and the timber industry for ten years. He became a follower of Christ as an adult and a pastor four years later with a passionate desire to share the hope he found in Christ with the communities he calls home. He has served three churches in the Northwest including Northside. His interests include coffee (especially with his wife), fantasy sports with his sons, hanging with his grand kids, fishing with friends, and home improvement projects.
David Johnson, Adult Groups and Assimilation Pastor
David joined the staff at Northside in 1993 as youth director and has 
taken on various responsibilities since then. He also teaches theology and history at the NW Campus of Golden Gate Seminary. His wife Kristen is a fiction writer and is involved in Vancouver’s theater and arts community. Although foster-parenting keeps them busy, in their spare moments they enjoy hiking, fishing, literature, and photography.
Todd Brooks, Worship and Youth Pastor
Todd joined the NBC staff in July of 2007. He previously served as a church planter, a youth minister, and minister of education at churches in ID and WA. In addition he has taught 4th and 5th grades in Grapevine, TX. He holds M.Div. and BA degrees from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary and Baylor University and an Elementary Teaching Certificate from the University of Texas – Arlington. Todd is married to Jenny, and they have three children: Josh, Samantha, and Matthew. Go to Top of Page
Mary Breuner, Preschool & Children’s Ministry Director
Mary and her husband Dennis grew up in KY in the same church and were married in 1968. Mary has been a pediatric nurse, elementary school instruction aide, and school secretary. She has many years of experience with preschoolers and children in Sunday School, mission programs, and children’s choir. Dennis is a semi-retired electrical engineer and served as Minister of Music in several churches. After years working and serving in New Mexico and San Diego, Mary and Dennis moved to Washougal in 2005. Their children, Dana and Kevin, live with their families in Southern California and Vancouver, respectively. Mary enjoys music, gardening, traveling, and of course her six grandchildren. John Martin, Outreach and Mobilization Director
John and his family moved to Vancouver and joined Northside in 2004. John officially joined the staff early in 2010. Over the last 22 years at Northside and his previous church he has served as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, Growth Group facilitator, and in several other positions of responsibility. Graduating from the Univ. of Wash. with an Electrical
Engineering degree, he joined the Navy and retired 23.5 years later. Having seen enough of the rest of the world, John decided it was time to move closer to family and old friends and lead a life of leisurely retirement. God had other plans. John and his wife Debbie were quickly assimilated into service at Northside, and God has kept opening new doors and presenting new challenges to both of them. John and Debbie have three boys, Joshua, Jason and Jordan, and arguably, the best daughter-in-law in the world, Rose. While John has some varied interests (fishing, sight-seeing, sports, etc.), he most enjoys hearing a good, personal, impromptu session of story-telling. Go to Top of Page
Gale Young, Administrative Assistant
Gale grew up in Kentucky where she graduated from Western Ky. Univ. 
She and her husband David have two sons, Adam (married to Charlotte), who lives on Whidbey Island, and Nathan, who lives in Vancouver with his wife Bethany. They traveled extensively until David’s retirement from the Army and his employment at ADS in Washougal in 1999. In addition to being a stay-at-home Mom, Gale worked at a number of schools before becoming the Administrative Assistant at Northside in July 2001. Her interests include music, cross stitch, antiques, and retired NGA greyhounds. Gale also is active in the music and children’s ministries at Northside. Go to Top of Page
