Northside Staff

Tim Crownover, Senior Pastor

Tim was born in northern California, but has lived most of his life in Oregon. After a promising baseball career was ended by injury, Tim worked in land surveying and the timber industry for ten years. He received Christ at the age of 26, became a pastor at the age of 30, and has since served three churches in the Northwest. His interests include softball, fishing, hunting, and coaching baseball. Tim and his high school sweetheart, Teresa, were married in 1978 and they have two sons, Tyler (married to Kristen) and Travis (married to Jenni).

David Johnson, Associate Pastor of Administration and Discipleship

David grew up in a Christian family, receiving Christ as a child. After living in North Dakota and British Columbia, he spent his teens in Arizona where he later attended Grand Canyon Univ. He joined the staff at Northside in 1993 as youth director and has taken on various responsibilities since then. He is a graduate of Southwestern Seminary and the NW Campus of Golden Gate Seminary where he teaches theology as an adjunct professor. He and Kristen married in 2004, and in his spare moments he enjoys hiking, fishing, literature, and basketball.

Andy Bryant, Music Minister

Andy and his wife Tobie have been in the Northwest for a number of years after moving from Tucson, Az. with their four children, Aaron, Rachael, Ethan, and Joshua. Andy is a graduate of the Univ. of Arizona and works for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration as a hydrologist. In addition to his regular work and church responsibilities, he makes time for Christian Youth Theater and various music projects.

Gale Young, Administrative Assistant

Gale grew up in Kentucky where she graduated from Western Ky. Univ. She and her husband David have two sons, Adam and Nathan. Being in the military they traveled extensively until David.s retirement from the Army and his employment at ADS in Washougal in 1999. In addition to being a stay-at-home Mom, Gale worked at a number of schools before becoming the Administrative Assistant at Northside in July 2001. Her interests include music, cross stitch, antique furniture, and retired NGA greyhounds. Gale also sings in the choir, teaches Sunday School and VBS, and serves as a deacon.s wife.
